K. M. Trading - the saga of success

KMT the pioneers who developed the concept of everything under one roof under the flagship "KMT" brand, started its operation in 1973 by identifying the need to cater to the different tastes and choices of customers. KMT, despite the presence of global chains and stores across the region, has shown a resilience not just to survive but to stay on top as well by providing value added services in every possible way to its customers. In the increasingly competitive markets, KMT constantly strived to provide consistently superior performance with a truly global mindset. Moreover the humane face and attention to quality always ensured that the group remained in the hearts of its discerning customer. KMT made a niche of its own through outstanding service excellence and constant value- creation for its customers with branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah.

The Company entered into supermarket line of business in 1999 by opening Al Safa Centre in Al Ain, a unique shopping mall by creating a supermarket, department store, bakery, coffee shop, card shop, flower shop etc. under the same roof. This Center has all the facilities to cater to the complete requirements of local and expatriate customers.

An impressive response from the customers further inspired the opening of a mega shopping center by the name K.M. TRADING SHOPPING CENTRE in February 2002, its maiden venture in the retail operation in Dubai in a sprawling 100,000 sq. ft. of space. This was followed by two more of its branches, one in Abu Dhabi (in Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre) and one in Sharjah (Rolla Square).

KMT is led by its enterprising Managing Director, Mr. K Mohammad whose untiring efforts and astute business acumen is the main ingredient on the recipe of success for the group. He is ably assisted by a professional management team led by Director Operations – Mr. Riyaz Mohammad.
