| K M TRADING brings " Taare Zameen Par " to UAE Screens |
It is a well known fact in the Indian film industry that if Aamir Khan has to be involved in a project, then that project will be the next best thing to perfect. An acclaimed international actor, who is known for his talent, professionalism & perfectionism, Aamir Khan, was recently in Dubai for the premiere of his directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par (Stars on Earth), which was brought to the screens by K M Trading.
The movie is a story about an eight year old dyslexic child, Ishaan, whose world is filled with wonders no one else seems to appreciate, and he just cannot seem to get anything right that the adults would want a child to do. In order to ‘discipline’ the child, his parents pack him off to boarding school. The movie then revolves around how a teacher, portrayed by Aamir Khan himself, infects the student’s lives with joy and optimism, by asking them to think, dream, imagine and break all the rules of ‘how things are supposed to be done’.
“Written by Amole Gupte, who is also the creative director, the film has enhanced our sensitivity towards children and we hope that it does the same for everyone who sees it.”, says Aamir Khan.
K M Trading took an extra bit of interest to release the movie in the screens all over the UAE, which according to Riyaz Mohammed, CEO of KM Trading, “is a gift to all lovers of excellent cinema in this season of celebrations. I personally have been a great fan of Aamir Khan and his work and when we came to know that his directorial venture was something that had a lot of social relevance and innocence attached to it, we made up our minds that we wanted to be involved in the project. As an organization, we are always committed to our corporate social responsibilities and this film was just one of the ways for us to give back to the society that has given us so much.”
The trade verdict has delivered that Aamir Khan’s directorial debut has infact pulled a few emotional strings in the viewer and is sure to rake in the acclaims. “We strongly believe in what the movie has to say, about being yourself and letting others be.
